I took a star
from the sky
And kept her
for myself
Her
brightness was uncontained
So high upon
my shelf
The Sky
outside had darkened
As though he
were asleep
Not a speck
of light I saw
So I began
to weep
Though he
filled my room with light
His home was
up above
For our
wonder and our awe
This creature of God’s love
