But feathers lay between us
Slivers of fear left broken
Unwind this chatter claiming
Pieces, my uncluttered soul

Giant steps leading nowhere
Spiralling out of control
Pictures of madness taken
Very heights of my despair

Lassoed Sun diminishes
Light from a sky untoward
Hoping for perhaps brilliance
For they always let you down

In black coal a light may shine
Obscured by what faith has lost
Dense is my retribution
Giving what was never mine

Whisper the mask of my death
Seeking truth where evil lies
Untold stories my demise
Stealing the life from my breath
