mistletoe

There are rules to share affection
Green leaves and ruby pearls
Dictate how I spread my love
And this night, be unfurled
This gentle leaf of sentiment
Adorn theses hallowed halls
The merriment of Wise Men
Singing "Deck the Halls"
And said lore of this tradition
Begets the lasses kiss
For else he is cowardice
To spark romantic tryst
So hence is born the mistletoe
A masterful creation
Clever is he so inspired
Forgive me thine temptation
